It was a warm weekend in June 1994 and lots of our friends had gone home (we did actually have some friends back then). We decided to have a bit of a laugh and decorate our corridor (we were still living in Lomas Street Halls at the time) to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of D-Day.
In the picture of our trashed corridor (on the left), you can see how we wasted a roll of University toilet paper and hung our shower curtain across the corridor.
We also decided to decorate Navid's door with various items that we found festering in the kitchen (on the right). He was not best pleased when he got back the next morning (can't think why...)! The retaliatory forms of revenge that he took against us in the following days cannot be described here for reasons of taste...
A great deal of time and money went into these celebrations and we rewarded ourselves by having a right good-old piss-about. (We don't have piss-ups very often because too many of us don't drink).
Here's a picture of the guilty subjects - Marc and Peter caught in the act of doing something very messy with an egg (I was taking the photos).
Margaret's reaction when she came in on Monday morning was remarkably calm...
